Danny, 38, has confessed he is so convinced his house in Loughton, Essex was haunted that he moved his wife and kids to a new £1.5million property.

Writing in his new book, The World According to Danny Dyer, he revealed his EastEnders co-star Danny-Boy Hatchard had a paranormal experience while staying in his daughter’s bedroom.

Danny said: “He left first thing in the morning because the room freaked him out. I asked him why and he said there was this knocking. Knock, knock, knock.

“I said it’s probably a pipe but he went, ‘Nah, it weren’t a pipe’.”

Danny’s eldest daughter Dani, 19, also had what she believed to be an encounter with ghosts in the bedroom.

“Dani was in there listening to music and heard someone shouting her name,” Danny explained. “Weird sh*t and no mistake.”

It appears Danny’s fascination with the other side is well-known, as his on-screen wife Kellie Bright recently revealed it was the inspiration behind his birthday present.

She said: “For his birthday we brought him a photograph book of people’s pictures of ghosts and he loved it.”
