Love Island fans were left reeling earlier this week when 2018 winners Dani Dyer and Jack Fincham announced their split, only four months after leaving the villa.
While the shocking news devastated the rest of us, Dani’s dad Danny Dyer is reportedly ‘secretly overjoyed’ that the couple are no more after ‘warning’ his daughter about the impact that Jack Fincham could have on her career.
The Love Island winners were inundated with work offers after the show and while Dani embraced every opportunity, Jack is said to have struggled which sparked concerns for Eastenders actor Danny.
“Jack found it harder. [Dani's] dad Danny and her family warned her early on that they didn't think sticking by Jack was the best idea,” a source told The Sun.
They added: “Of course Jack is a lovely lad and they got on, but Dani's family live in the public eye and they know how important it is to work hard and stay out of trouble.
