This weekend, a newspaper published a picture of the EastEnders star with his arm around a brunette woman.

The snaps, which were uploaded to Facebook by the woman seen in the photographs, were done so between the years of March 2012 and 2014.

And, despite the fact that there is no indication in them whatsoever that any cheating had occurred, the accompanying article claims that the photos would ‘humiliate’ Danny’s long-term love, Jo.

Clearly upset by the allegations, Danny took to Twitter to slam the claims, saying: “I despair… you are an abomination.

“Hellbent on making my kids fatherless on Father's Day.”

Jo also lashed out at the claims, sharing a photo of her husband-to-be planting a kiss on her brother’s cheek.

She teased: “Don't say I don't do u any favours… here's next weeks headline. Is Danny is dating my brother?”

Proving she definitely has a sense of humour, the mum-of-three also posted one of Danny smooching a balloon.

She wrote: “As I pay the scum’s wages, here's another b****cky picture I’ll treat you too.”

Jo added laughingly: “#MustStopTakingPics - I was there!”

A spokesperson for Danny (quite accurately, judging by those tweets!) told The Sun: “Jo will not be bothered at all by these pics.

“Karen is the girlfriend of an acquaintance who took most of them in 2012.

“They are innocent and to suggest anything else is laughable.”

Danny Dyer and long-term girlfriend Joanne Mas - who proposed to the soapstar a few months ago - have been together for over 20 years, and have three children together, 18-year-old Dani, eight-year-old Sunnie and 19-month-old Arty.

The real-life Mick Carter recently revealed that they are planning a low-key East End wedding, complete with whelks.

He explained: "It's going to be in a registry office.

"We'll have a few prawn vol-au-vents - and a couple of whelks knocking about."

Danny added: "We haven't set an exact date yet but it'll be in August."
