Danny Dyer has transformed himself entirely for his latest role in Lucy Rose's 'Nebraska' music video.

And we have to say that it is, perhaps, his most moving and raw performance to date.

When the video premiered earlier today, Danny proudly tweeted a snapshot to his Twitter feed.

He captioned it simply: “#FreedomOfExpression @lucyrosemusic”

In the video, Danny gives a powerful performance as a man who dreams of expressing himself and his beliefs.

And, despite initially appearing afraid, he transforms into someone powerful and truly in command of himself on stage.

Speaking to The Independent about his role, the loveable EastEnders actor revealed that he was “moved” to be asked to star in the music video.

He said: "I was honoured to be asked by the maestro that is Lucy Rose to be part of her video.

"When I got the treatment through I was overwhelmed. I think it's such a moving piece of work.

Lucy explained that she had been terrified to ask Danny to appear in her music role - not least of all to appear as a drag queen.

However she was left pleasantly surprised by the dad-of-three’s open-mindedness and willingness to be involved in the project.

She said: "Chris [Mcgill - director] came up with the idea and I loved it straight away, but in all honesty was absolutely bricking it sending it to Danny. How could I ask Danny to do what we were asking him to do?

Danny added: “I’m beyond proud to be part of it, I've always believed that people should be who they want to be, regardless of race or gender.

"Freedom of expression is so important - I really hope that this video gets the recognition it deserves."

We love Danny Dyer EVEN more for doing this!
