Rugby hunk Danny, 27, allegedly cheated on 37-year-old Katie and she went on to blast him in her fifth autobiography – criticising the size of his manhood.
Former glamour model Katie branded him Danny Chipolata, which Danny confesses was ‘frustrating’.
Speaking to The Sun, Danny admitted he grew up fancying Katie. He said: “When I was younger she was that pin up – the hot girl of the moment.
“When I met her she seemed really nice and we hung out for a couple of weeks with a group of friends.”
But, while Katie claims she was left heartbroken when she discovered Danny in bed with another woman, he insists they were never serious.
He continued: “She was cool, but it wasn’t anything major and then it was written about in her books later on.”
In Love, Lipstick and Lies, released in 2013, Katie confessed that she’d forgiven Danny but said she’d never forget how he treated her.
Katie went on to slam his performance on the rugby pitch and in the bedroom, adding: “In my experience he was a bit – erm – lean in the most obvious departments.
“That’s why I nicknamed him Danny Chipolata. He can no longer hit the right spots on the rugby field and he certainly can’t find them on a woman.”
As well as Katie, Danny famously dated Kelly Brook on and off between 2008 and 2010 – and he revealed that their break-up left him depressed for nine months.
