After just returning to EastEnders to reprise her role as Sam Mitchell for the final episodes of Peggy Mitchell (Barbara Windsor)’s exit, reports have now revealed that the actress has been written out.
Danniella Westbrook has been back on the BBC One soap for only two weeks but according to The Sun, the 42 year old has been arriving late for filming and bringing along her boyfriend, George Arnold, which annoyed producers.
Initially, it was claimed that Danniella was banned from inviting her 23 year old partner to the set, but executives have now allegedly decided she was too “unprofessional” to continue her contract.
The source said: “Danniella is gone after only two weeks — it was her last day of filming on Saturday and she won’t be back.
“This is a huge opportunity lost for Danniella, who was being given another chance to prove herself. But she failed miserably.”
But now the blonde Celebrity Big Brother star has hit back at the claims, saying they are ‘c--p’.
Taking to Twitter, Danniella said: “I had two weeks work 2 do [at EastEnders] a funeral to shoot. Nothing with Peggy or grant. I was not sacked or axed I just did 4 episodes.”
“The Crap story a supposed source has given is just that CRAP! I came back for the 4 episodes they needed me for & my last day was Saturday.”
“Laughing all morning at the b------- stories flying about.. Believe what you like. I did what I was contracted to do and that's that.”
Danniella then tweeted the following: “I was happy 2 go back 2 Eastenders 4 a few episodes. But I'm ready to call another soap home now .. A move north maybe.”
Could this mean Danniella is making a return to Hollyoaks? Or could she be trying her hand at another soap, like say, Emmerdale?
She also posted the following screenshot of The Sun’s story to her Instagram with the caption: “Biggest load of b----- I've read in ages .. I was contracted for two weeks for Peggy's funeral.
“I had my last day Saturday.. Why do people sell s--- stories and lies for money. I had a nice time back at Eastenders those two weeks ,but I'm looking to make another soap home X. [sic]”
Well, it looks like she’s definitely looking to make another appearance in a different soap!
