The 40-year-old actress headed to LA for treatment, after confessing to having a problem with cocaine in August.

Former EastEnders star Danniella tearfully admitted that she is 'always going to need help' when it comes to her drugs demons, following her serious addiction at the height of her career which led to her famously losing her septum.

But the mum-of-two took to Twitter to reveal that her treatment is working, and took the opportunity to thank her supporters.

She wrote: "I'm stronger today, healthy and positive about what ever life may have planned for me. I know I fell off the wagon when I hit the bump in the road, I'm not perfect but I am strong.

"I want to say thank you for the support I've had from people who I've never even met. Your kind words and encouragement have meant so much to me at a time when I was so lonely and full of guilt and shame.

"I will always be a mother first and everything else second. I pray that I will be well received on my return to England and that I will be given the chance to work hard in a career I absolutely love.

"I'm looking forward to my future and to touching down in the UK."

Following her drugs confession, Danniella and her fiancé Tom Richards, 24, briefly split, after she admitted to sleeping with her dealer while in Magaluf.

But the couple are back together and reportedly planning their wedding.
