Former EastEnders star Danniella Westbrook has been very open about the fact that she is currently seeking help to battle her demons.

Danniella, 43, checked herself into a facility in Spain last month where she is receiving treatment to help her deal with the traumatic events of the past year. Not only did she split from her boyfriend George Arnold, but she also suffered a miscarriage and had a drug-related relapse.

However, Danniella bravely updated fans about how she is doing in rehab, and it sounds like the star is on the way to recovery.

“I’ve been here three and a half weeks,” she said.

“My head is straight, I’m not on any medication, I’m not taking any drugs and I’ve worked loads on myself.

“And loads on my past issues. All the stuff that I felt I got left with at the end of last year I’m dealing with and I feel strong, I feel really strong.

“I’m happy to be alone and on my own. I’m happy to be doing this but looking forward to seeing my kids in a few weeks and looking forward to getting back to work and all the exciting things I’ve got coming up.

“I’m in a wonderful place and I’m truly blessed again but thank you one and all for everything.”

Danniella has spoken openly about her struggles, dealing with an addiction to cocaine and also discussing her heart breaking childhood in an episode of Channel 5 show In Therapy.

We’re so glad to hear that she’s making progress and feeling great!
