Actress Danniella Westbrook is causing controversy on Twitter after posting a tribute to thelate Max Clifford.
It was announced on Sunday (10 December) that disgraced PR guru Max Clifford had died after a heart attack in his prison cell. He was facing an eight-year sentence for a string of sex offenses against four women dating back to 1977.
Max Clifford had represented many celebs during his career, including David Beckham’s alleged fling Rebecca Loos, X Factor mogul Simon Cowell, and disgraced American sportsman O. J. Simpson.
Despite Max being found guilty for his crimes, Danniella has rushed to his defense on Twitter.
She wrote 'RIP Max Clifford .. You was always a gentleman to me and a good agent. I never ever believed any of the allegations made against you and I am so sad you’ve gone x rest in peace my friend 😇💋 #RipMaxClifford'
One outraged fans replied, 'In other words his victims were lying? Totally unacceptable Tweet and it should be removed! Mourn for your friend in private but at least have the decency to respect his victims who had to give evidence! Disgraceful'
Another wrote, 'Wow you believe him my life you have opened yourself up for abuse he was convicted for numerous assaults on young women. You must count yourself lucky it was not You, imagine if it was one of your children shocked you have come out with that defence of him.'
Another livid fan replied, 'Is this a sick joke?'
Danniella responded to one comment, claiming SHE was abused in the industry and wrote: 'Listen love I’ve been abused multiple times in this industry, from 7 years old I think I’m well aware of who’s who in the paedophile ring from back then! SO Please don’t tell me anything!'
Danniella doesn't name exactly who she is referring to when making the claims.
