Danniella Westbrook has hit out at the furious ex of her new fiancé after she claimed they were engaged when he proposed to the actress.
The former EastEnders actress, 43, announced she is set to marry her 34-year-old toy boy man Alan Thomason yesterday.
But now, his ex-girlfriend of four years Charlene Whyment has claimed she’s been left devastated as Alan had popped the question to her in Spain just four weeks earlier.
She told The Sun Online: “I’m sickened to my stomach - one minute I think I’m getting married to the love of my life and the next I find out he’s proposed to a woman with half a nose.
Charlene insists she had no clue she’d been dumped by Alan for former Celebrity Big Brother housemate Danniella, who lost her nasal septum due to drug abuse, and thought he’d be returning to their home abroad.
She said: “I lived with Alan for three years in the UK before he moved to Spain. I split my time between there and the UK.
“I left to visit my family four weeks ago and he proposed to me at Alicante airport.
“I said yes, of course, I thought we were madly in love and I thought it was forever. I’m in complete shock at what I’ve seen.”
Charlene claims to only have learnt of Alan’s relationship with Danniella after she saw pictures of the pair in a newspaper.
She attempted to contact Alan but says he did not answer the phone and has removed himself from social media.
Danniella refuted Charlene’s claims on Twitter, insisting the pair had split before Alan got down on one knee.
She wrote: “So heartbroken she sold a story. Enjoy your ££ cos I’m enjoying ur ex. Oh & ur invite’s in the post.”
Daniella revealed her plans to marry on Friday, lovingly saying that Alan “completes me”.
Posting a picture of herself wearing a sparkling engagement ring as she posed next to her man, she wrote: “Feeling super special 2 proposals and two rings.
