Danniella Westbrook has had a bit of good luck after a horrendous year and been gifted a free car for a year.

The free gift came about as a goodwill gesture after a Lexus salesman messaged the star on Twitter asking her: “Do you know a good dealer?”

The obvious reference to Danniella’s drug addiction upset the former Eastenders actress.

The Essex-based dealership quickly apologised, writing: “Apologies, definitely not intended how it sounded. We would not encourage this behaviour.”

In a bid to console the 41-year-old, they then presented Dannielle with a £21,000 Lexus CT 200H.

Danniella later tweeted: “Can’t believe how kind Lexus Woodford are.”

The actress revealed that she was homeless and broke at the end of last year, just months after returning to rehab following a relapse.
