The former EastEnders’ actress, 40, claimed last week that she has taken the Class A drug a ‘six times’ over the past few months.

But businessman Kevin, 46, who was married to Danniella for 12 years until they split this January, has claimed her problem is much more severe.

Kevin revealed that it was Danniella’s return to drugs that ended their marriage, after she ‘passed out on Christmas Day following a cocaine binge’.

The Sun reported that he told a friend: “She’s been on cocaine for at least a year, if not longer. It’s far worse than anyone thinks.

“After we split, I warned her she’d end up in the gutter or dead if she didn’t stop. But she wouldn’t listen.”

Kevin added that during a visit to see their 11-year-old daughter Jody B in May, Danniella was in a ‘state’.

He continued: “She was a mess. You can’t love anyone, watch them deteriorate like that and not feel pain.”

As a former addict himself, Kevin claimed that he had to end their marriage when Danniella returned to drugs or risk returning to cocaine too.

“Cocaine was why we split,” he added. “The situation was toxic. I had no choice as I didn’t want to relapse.”

A spokesperson for Danniella told The Sun: “Danniella has already bravely confessed to taking cocaine since April. She is getting the help she needs.”
