Danielle Lineker’s athletic body is the envy of many women. The 33-year-old wife of Gary Lineker, who is 5”5 and weighs 8 stone, is refreshingly honest about her approach to staying healthy.
Danielle, who has a 32D-25-27 body, admits: "I'm flattered if people think I look good in a bikini. But unlike some people, I won't lie and insist I can eat anything I want and get away with it. Since I hit my thirties, my body is far less forgiving.”

Revealing she has a weakness for Italian food, the mother-of-one and stepmother-of-four has said that she has learnt to reach compromises.
"I love Italian food, but if I have pasta or risotto I make sure it's made with brown pasta or rice. The white versions are overly refined and not good because they bulk up my middle."
'I try not to have too many salt and vinegar crips, which is hard since I'm married to Mr Crisps'
While not letting diets rule her life, Danielle’s trick in maintaining her trim figure is not to indulge in unhealthy food.
"I have to be disciplined, but I'm not obsessive. I try not to have too many salt and vinegar crisps, which is hard since I'm married to Mr Crisps. And I love dark chocolate, but I don't have any little sins like that for a couple of weeks before a holiday.”
"I eat food that's high in protein and low in carbohydrates. I truly believe if you cut the junk from your diet and stick to the plan you will see improvements in as little as a couple of days."
The lithe-bodied model advises women to observe what foods agree with their body.
"I try never to eat bread. It's a diet disaster. Me and bread just do not mix. Eating even a small amount of yeasty food makes me feel sluggish and look bloated. At the very most I'd have one or two slices a week of wholegrain bread, just for the vitamins it contains.”
As well as drinking a large bottle of water every day, Danielle tries to stick to healthy and holistic options such as Japanese food and green tea.
'Making small changes to your daily life can have huge, noticable benefits on your body'
Although she ‘hates exercise’ and is not a big gym fan, she reveals that she walks everywhere to burn off calories.
“I’m not a big gym bunny because I really find it quite difficult to spare the time. But I love using a gadget called an Easyshaper at home. It’s just like doing Pilates and fantastic for toning. My dog Snoop helps me with the cardio side as we both enjoy long walks.”
In conclusion Danielle advises, "Whether it's diet, exercise or just learning to pose for a photo, making small changes to your daily life can have huge, noticeable benefits on your body.”
