She spent much of the last series of TOWIE trying to come to terms with her split from James Lock.
And, during the new episode on Sunday night, the 27-year-old was left in tears as Lockie made a beeline for newcomer Courtney Green.
While Lockie seems to be concentrating on his future, Danni is obviously still feeling emotional over the break-up.
But despite his obvious attraction to Courtney, Danni believes she and Lockie will find it hard to move on while they’re both on the show.
Speaking exclusively to Closer Online, she said: “If you look at past couples: Mark [Wright] left after the Lauren [Goodger] situation, Lucy [Mecklenburgh] left because of Mario [Falcone] and Joey [Essex] quit because of Sam [Faiers].
“I hope that doesn’t happen for me and James, I don’t want us to get to the point where we can’t be around each other. But I can’t see either of us finding love, on or off of the show, when we’re still together so much.”
Danni added: “It’s not like we just had a little showmance – we lived together, we’ve been through things most married couples haven’t even been through. The last year has been a very difficult time for both of us.”
But, for now at least, Danni and Lockie seem to have found a way to make it work, and she confessed they’d never want to make it awkward for their friends and co-stars.

She explained: “They say it’s great we can still be around each other and be friends, and it makes it easier for them. We genuinely get on and we have mutual respect for each other. Sunday’s episode showed the beginnings of a couple who have broken up and are trying to move on, but certain situations will obviously have an impact.”
During the latest episode of the Essex-based reality show, Danni had to be comforted by Lockie’s best mate Pete Wicks after Gemma Collins dropped a huge bomb over text.
In the message, Gemma claimed Lockie has been seeing someone new – leaving Danni hurt that she had to find out from her friend.
But when Danni confronted him, Lockie insisted it’s none of her business who he dates and branded Gemma ‘one of the biggest liars in Essex’. Ouch!
