Daniel has no doubt broken a few hearts by revealing that he would ‘never date’ a fan of Harry Potter.
He told a US magazine: ‘It would make me very strange. I've always had relationships.’
He then revealed that he prefers to tread carefully when it comes to dating: ‘It's easy to tell if someone is genuine.’
Daniel also revealed that he and Harry Potter co-star Emma Watson haven’t remained close in the years since they finished filming the boy wizard movies.
He said about the Hermione actress: ‘I haven't spoken to her in quite a while.’ He then revealed he wouldn’t rule out a reunion, saying: ‘I'm sure we'll see each other at some point.’
Daniel has been dating actress Erin Darke for the past two years.
The couple met on the set of Kill Your Darlings and Erin’s representative confirmed the relationship to the Mail Online.
Daniel reportedly ‘wooed’ his other half with trips to London and the couple are said to be living together in Daniel’s Manhattan apartment.
The Harry Potter actor has moved on from the famous franchise and is now starring in Broadway’s production of The Cripple of Inishmaan.
