Tracy Beaker star Dani Harmer was on Strictly Come Dancing in 2012, making it to the final and coming fourth place, being beaten by Denise van Outen, Kimberley Walsh and winner Louis Smith.
However Dani, who was a size six at the time and received messages that branded her 'overweight', has now admitted that the online abuse had an impact on her time on the show.
"I was like, ‘Holy moly, if I’m fat, God knows what other people must be thinking if they’re bigger than me’, that must be just horrible," she admitted.
She went on to tell RadioTimes, "I can think of things really logically and be like, obviously, I’m not fat, that’s ridiculous.
"But yeah, for kids it must be so hard."
Years later Dani has admitted that she feels sorry for the trolls, explaining, "This person, obviously, is just bored, or has something wrong with their life that they feel like this is the only way they can get some validation".
