The 23-year-old was blasted when audio clips featuring him allegedly threatening to stab his ex-girlfriend Megan Tomlin, 22, surfaced.

During the clips, obtained by The Sun, Dan also appeared to deny his relationship with current girlfriend Jacqueline Jossa, 22, and insisted getting her pregnant with their baby girl Ella Selina was a mistake.

But Dan – whose future on reality show The Only Way Is Essex is in jeopardy after the leaked clips – has shared his joy at being reunited with Teddy, his one-year-old son with Megan.

Dan posted a picture of his son to Instagram and wrote: “Waking up to my little man!! Sooo happy I now have this every single week.”

He then shared a video of Teddy playing happily, adding: “Last night I think Teddy chose his sport.. Couldn’t get enough of the basketball”

Despite the explicit clips, during which the man believed to be Dan said he would stab Megan in the throat if she ever got with another man, Dan has continued to protest his innocence online.

Replying to a follower last week, Dan said: “You don’t know me, my family etc know the truth. Sorry that a story is being made by something from about 8 months ago #boringnow [sic]”

Dan’s dad Jim also defended him, posting: “We all love you Dan, beautiful person inside and out xxx”

Teacher Megan has been accused of trying to ruin Dan’s relationship with Jacqueline, despite the aggressive threats in the audio clips.

But Megan has insisted she didn’t leak the tapes, adding to the Mirror: “What’s been written hasn’t come from me.

“If I was going to ruin it I would have come out a long time ago."
