Speaking with a UK magazine this week, Dan attempted to justify the shocking threats he made to ex girlfriend, and mother of his child Teddy, Megan Tomlin.
In case you need reminding, shocking voice recordings emerged of Dan telling his ex: ‘The minute another man’s penis goes inside you, I’ll stick a knife up your c***. Do you understand me?’
Amongst other threats, the recording makes pretty horrific listening, but Dan says he was a ‘different person’ when the incident happened.
‘I’m disgusted with myself,’ the former TOWIE star admitted. ‘I’m so embarrassed to even be sat here explaining why I said those terrible things.
‘It was in the heat of the moment during an argument and I didn’t mean any of it. I’d never hurt anyone and I’ve never hit a woman.'
The 23-year-old went onto say that everyone says things they don’t mean in arguments, and that he had been ‘pushed and pushed’ into saying things he didn’t mean after months of a terrible situation.
‘The person I loved more than anything in the world was in one house and the woman I wanted to be with [Jacqueline] was in another.
'It was the hardest thing,’ Dan went on.
According to him, on the night the recording was taken, Megan has said ‘everything that could possibly hurt a man…and relating to their child’ and ‘the moment she got the reaction she wanted, she pressed record.’
And after explaining THAT voice recording, Dan set the record straight on a few other things, too, telling the interviewer that the allegations he cheated on Jacqueline with Megan were ‘not true at all.’
‘I stayed over at Megan’s and slept on the sofa with Ted, but that’s it.’
But despite saying that him and Megan are 'fine now,' police were called to Tomlin's home over bank holiday weekend, as she allegedly refused to give him Teddy.
