But the 30-year-old has confessed that, regardless of what Cristiano Jr chooses as a career, he’ll try his hardest to get him into football.
Speaking to the Daily Star Online at the premiere of his new film Ronaldo, he said: “My son, he is a young boy, he changes his mind every second.
“You can be whatever you want to be but of course I want that to be like his dad and score goals.”
He added: “I’m going to push him to be a striker.”
Cristiano’s comments are a stark contrast to those of his fellow footballing superstar David Beckham, who has insisted he’ll never pressure his kids into playing the game.
He recently said: “They just like playing football. If they don’t want to play, I’m not going to get upset about it.
“As long as they’ve got ambition, as long as they’re passionate about something, that’s all I want for them.”
What do you think – is ok to give your kids some healthy encouragement when picking a career, or should they be left to make their own decisions?
