7 Days hit singer Craig David has made a massive comeback on The X Factor.

The Fill Me In singer, who recently recorded ‘When The Bassline Drops’ with Big Narstie, confirmed his return to the music scene by stealing last night’s show.

Cheryl’s act Reggie ’N’ Bollie were joined by Fuse ODG, before the surprise announcement came that nineties star Craig was coming on to join them.

The 34-year-old was immediately greeted by a chorus of screaming fans, before performing a rendition of Re-Rewind with the X Factor duo- who made it through to the finals.

And it wasn’t just the audience and Twitter fans that went crazy over Craig- who lives in Miami.

Caroline Flack beamed: “Craig David welcome back..I love you by the way”.

And it looks like Caroline could be seeing more of the Southampton-born singer.

When a fan suggested Cheryl should replace Simon Cowell with Craig as a co-judge, Craig replied:

"Very comfortable seat, but that's reserved for the main man. Pull me up another chair & we'll be good to go".
