The 27 year-old Countdown star has allegedly ended her marriage after 16 months, leaving her husband Jamie Gilbert ‘devastated, distraught and stunned’ by her decision.
A family friend told a UK newspaper: 'He has no idea where this has come from. Rachel just told him they had grown apart.
'They are separated. Rachel is away filming much of the time. Jamie's stuff is still at the house so he hasn't technically moved out.'

Rachel and Jamie, 31, met at Oxford University before getting married in August last year. They lived together at their home in Essex.
The couple split once before in 2009 after four years together, but got back together when Jamie proposed on Rachel's 25th birthday in January 2011.
The star announced that she was engaged on an episode of Countdown. But there were fears for their relationship when Rachel landed a new job in the summer co-presenting The Gadget Show on Channel Five.
The job meant she was away from home six days a week filming while Jamie was left alone at home ‘playing poker.’
According to reports, Rachel ended her marriage less than a month after being voted off the dancing competition, on which she was partnered with professional dancer Pasha Kovalev.
There is no suggestion there is anyone else involved in the split.
A spokeswoman for the couple has confirmed the split, but Rachel or Jamie are yet to comment.
