Taking on a role in a soap is like adopting an entire new family. And in true soap-family style, many of Catherine Tyledesley’s colleagues turned up to celebrate her wedding to Tom Pitfield on May 21st.

But one of her co-star guests made the extra effort, giving her a gift we’re sure she won’t forget.
That’s right, former X Factor winner Shayne Ward sang a song for the Eva Price actress to make her big day even more magical. He serenaded the couple with Butterfly Kissed by Bob Carlisle.
In Hello! magazine, Shayne explained: "Cath asked me to sing it for her only a few weeks ago. I'm so happy and honoured I was able to do it for her."
All the juicy gossip on the big day was revealed the magazine, and the newly couple explained that they tied to know in Colshaw Hall in Cheshire, and 32year-old Catherine wore a cut-out lace dress designed by Philip Armstrong to exchange vows, before switching into a ivory silk gown by Mark Melia.
On the wedding, the mum-of-one told the mag:
“It was my dream come true. I had been looking forward to this moment for so long. Tom and I are very traditional and it was important for us to show our deep commitment to each other.
“It was picture perfect. There were scented candles and beautiful flowers - and most importantly of all, there was Tom."
The pair began dating in March 2014, and the actress fell pregnant just a few months later with Alfie, now 14 months old.
