It was only 19 months ago they welcomed baby daughter Sienna into the world, but now it has been announced that Alan Halsall and wife Lucy-Jo Hudson have decided to part ways.
The pair have been married for seven years after meeting on the set of ITV soap Coronation Street.
Despite the sad ending of their relationship, both Alan and Lucy-Jo insist that they will retain an amicable relationship, and appreciate the “many wonderful years together.”
Alan played Tyrone Dobbs on the show, and Lucy-Jo played character Katy Harris.
They began dating in 2005 after meeting on set, and tied the knot four years later on June 13 2009.
In February 2013, the couple announced they were expecting their first child together, and welcomed daughter Sienna Rae in September of the same year.

However, a statement released by their representative yesterday announced their split.
It read:
“Lucy-Jo Hudson and Alan Halsall are sad to announce that they have separated.
“They have shared many wonderful years together and will remain close friends.
“They ask for privacy at this emotional time, to allow both to focus on their beautiful daughter Sienna-Rae, to ensure her continued happiness.”
Fans of the TV pairing were quick to express their sadness on Twitter:
Wishing you both the best of luck for the future, Alan and Lucy-Jo.
