Jennie McAlpine - who plays Fiz in Coronation Street - and partner Chris Farr welcomed their first child together on 29th November.
New mum Jennie herself tweeted the exciting news, writing happily: “On Saturday our lives changed forever with the arrival of our baby boy Albert.
"Happiness and pride like never before x”
The name Albert, according to name meaning website She Knows, is a German name meaning 'intelligent or noble'.
How very fancy - we love it!
Friends rushed to send their congratulations to Jennie and her husband on Twitter, including close friend and Corrie co-star Antony Cotton.
The actor tweeted: “Waited since Saturday to share @jenniemcalpine and @ChrisFarr1’s wonderful news - baby Albert is finally here.
"I love him already!”
The soap’s Kym Marsh added: “Ahhh darlin!!! I’m so so happy for you!! Love to you all xx”
Meanwhile Jennie’s former co-stars Natalie Gumede said: “what wonderful news, congratulations!” and Chris Bisson added: “congratulations guys. Amazing news.”
