Corrie's Jane Danson has opened up about the heartbreak she and husband Robert Beck experienced while trying for baby number three
After discovering she’d miscarried at the three month scan, the couple made the difficult decision to stop trying and that “Sometimes you just have to appreciate what you have”.
Speaking with OK! Magazine, Jane and Rob – who rose to fame on Emmerdale and went on to star on the X Files – explained how hard it was to move on from the miscarriage.
“Sadly we lost our third child a few years ago – I found out I’d miscarried at the three month scan,” she said.
“It was heartbreaking and it took us a long time to get over it – I don’t think you ever really do.”

The couple have been together since the early noughties, having first met at the first ever Soap Awards back in 1999 when Jane was still a fresh face on Coronation Street.
“I was in Emmerdale at the time,” said Rob. “Jane came over and introduced herself.”
“I’m not the world’s most confident person but I’d had a crush on Rob since I was fifteen,” added Jane. “I thought, I have to speak to him, it’s fate.”
Jane is all set to star on the upcoming series of Dancing on Ice, and has been paired with professional partner Sylvain Longchambon – who Rob is reportedly ‘pleased’ about, as Sylvain is married to Jane’s close friend Samia Longchambon.
“I'm glad she's partnered with Sylvain,” he said, in the same interview. “For Jane to be skating every day with someone she's friends with already is fantastic. I know she's having a good laugh as well as working hard.
