For any England supporter, watching last night’s knockout game against Iceland was not a joyous experience. In fact, quite the opposite for footie fans.

Not least for little Kai, whose daddy Wayne Rooney scored the only goal for his team during a penalty.

The six-year-old was in the crowd with mum Coleen, and was obviously upset when England lost their place in the UEFA Euro 2016 cup.

And today Coleen has hit back at a newspaper for printing a picture of her and Wayne’s son crying on their front page.

When one fan tweeted the mum of three to ask her if she was aware of the way her son’s picture was being used, she replied:

“Yes I’ve seen that front page and it’s absolutely shocking!!”

Coleen herself was also the target of online trolls in the face of the defeat, causing many of her fans to step in and defend the WAG from unwarranted abuse.

One said:

“Don't understand people giving @ColeenRoo abuse on here. Did she play? Did she pick the team? She was there supporting the lads. Behave.”

Sadlly, the mum-of-three is no stranger to online abuse, after being targeted recently for taking her son out of school to fly to France and watch the Euro games, and for being accussed of taking too many holidays.

Poor Coleen!
