Looking healthy and glowing on holiday in Barbados, pregnant Coleen Rooney was making the most of her time in the sunshine last week.

The star – who’s due in May – revealed her growing bump and toned arms and legs in a series of bikinis as she relaxed with her parents, Colette and Tony McLoughlin, and son Kai, three.

And pals say the break’s given the family a much-needed boost after Coleen’s sister Rosie tragically passed away last month, following a battle with rare brain disorder Rett Syndrome. On what would have been her 15th birthday last week, Coleen Tweeted: “Happy birthday to the most special girl in the world!!! Our Rosie!! Love you so much and miss you even more xx.”

A pal says: “Coleen felt going away was just what they all needed. Her parents are still inconsolable, so she hoped it would cheer them up. She’s felt all over the place these past few weeks and, in a way, she wanted the holiday to help her get back into a routine.”

And rather than delight at the prospect of returning to her former trim size 8, Coleen admits both she and Wayne are thrilled with her pregnancy curves.

“She says that while she ‘looks and feels six months pregnant’ now, she’s a lot more comfortable with her body this time. She’s only put on around 1st and feels like she has a ‘perfect tidy’ bump, whereas she gained weight all over with Kai. She says Wayne makes her feel positive about her changing shape. Wayne tells her how lucky he feels to have her and that she is more beautiful every day.”

After Kai’s birth in November 2009, Coleen shed most of her baby weight in four months before getting down to 8st and a size 8 by the summer.

She’s told pals that, this time, her cravings aren’t for food, but seem to be more “scent-based.”

'Wayne does his best to take over on Dad duty with Kai so she can put her feet up'

A source says: “She’s getting weird cravings for smells, like oranges and linen, more so than food. She’s curbed her cravings with scented candles and Wayne’s treated her to bath oils to soothe her backache. She says he does his best to take over on Dad duty with Kai so she can put her feet up.”

The source adds that apart from the usual pregnancy niggles, Coleen is feeling great and has vowed to stay in shape during her pregnancy. “She’s being sensible with her eating – she’s not obsessed about her weight, she just wants to enjoy it more this time and be confident about her changing body. Plus, she wants to be fit to make the birth easier!
