Being the wife of the richest footballer in the Premier League – that would be Wayne Rooney, in case you missed it – would no doubt have it perks.

But when it comes to parenting, mum-of-three Coleen Rooney prefers to strip back to basics and be hands on with her kids.

Speaking to the Metro paper, the 30-year-old explained: “People are shocked when they realised we don’t have a nanny.

“But we are lucky to have family to help out. My mum and dad did everything for me and my brother and sister and I want the same for my kids.”

Coleen – who is mum to Kai, six, and Klay, two, and baby Kit, four months - explains that she’s there doing the school runs whenever she can, and she wants to be around her little ones as much as possible.

And on having more kids, she revealed that the thoughts of baby number four leaves her wondering how she could squeeze in another tiny tot. She revealed:

“People ask whether I’ll have any more and I just think: ‘How could I give another person the attention they need?’

“But I think you find a way to fit them in.”

Britain’s favourite WAG also recently opened up about how eating her own placenta after giving birth the Kit made her feel.

She revealed on Twitter back in January that she’s had the afterbirth made into capsules, and last week told the Mirror Online: “They definitely made me feel energised.

"I felt full of very positive energy and it helped with a number of pregnancy symptoms such as the produce of milk.

“I slept really well and they helped to stabilise my weight after having Kit.”

Are you surprised that Coleen doesn’t have a professional nanny?
