Coleen Rooney is due to give birth to her and Wayne’s third baby very soon.

Despite being busy with her sons, Kai, five, and Klay, two, Coleen took some time out to do a little bit of shopping for her impending newborn this week.

But, apparently unsure of her baby’s gender, she didn’t know whether to purchase a blue knitted jacket for a baby boy - or a pink knitted jacket for a baby girl.

The solution?

Buy both, naturally - and share a photo of the teeny-weeny and totally adorable outfits with fans on Facebook.

She captioned the image: “Not long.

“So excited and looking forward to the surprise!”

However it seemed as if there was a little more to this image than first meets the eye.

Yup, it’s all about those labels.

The knitted blue coat still has one, while the pink coat’s label has apparently been carefully cut out.

Coincidence? Her fans certainly didn’t think so!

“I think pink Coleen as you've cut the tag out of the pink cardi but left it in the blue to return to the shop,” said one. “Just a thought!”

Another added: "I think you're having a little girl because it's a bit weird the way the label on the pink coat had been removed off it and you tend to remove labels so they don't irritate your newborn.

"Although I could be wrong but I do hope this little bundle is a little girl for use."

However one Facebook user waded into the debate to deny that the labels had anything to do with the gender of Coleen’s baby.

Claiming to be the woman who sold the WAG the precious little coats, she wrote: “All the intrigue about the labels in the coats - I just had to answer!

“I sold Coleen these coats and it's just how they came in - some with a label on the back, others on the side.”

She added that, either way, they would be fine for any newborn baby, as they were “ultra soft labels that will not irritate” the skin.

Despite the debate, everyone was quick to wish Coleen well - and everyone (just like us!) seems very excited to meet her baby.

“Really doesn't matter at end of day,” said one. “As long as it's healthy, and mother and baby are well after delivery.”

Another added sweetly: “Good luck Coleen, whatever you have.

“As long as he/she is healthy, that's all that matters - it'll be loved just the same as your two darling boys.”

Not long to go now!
