Mum-of-three Coleen Rooney recently came under fire by critics who judged her for ‘constantly being on holiday.’

The 30-year-old wife of footballer Wayne Rooney managed vacation ten times last year, including visiting hot spot destinations such as Portugal, Dubai and Barbados.

Either flaunted on her Instagram account or snapped up by paps, fans of the star can often see her chilling by the beach and lapping up the sunshine.

And some nastier people of social media have criticised the mum for jetting off so frequently.

But defiant Coleen has hit back at such criticism, insisting she’s done no harm by taking so many holidays.

Speaking to the Mirror Online, she said:

“I’m privileged that I'm able to go on holiday, and if anyone else had the opportunity they would go.

“You get people criticising you, but it's like, ‘Why are you interested in me going on holiday?’ It's sad. It's something I really want to do, and it's got nothing to do with anyone else.”

Sounds fair enough! We know we’d swap soggy England for a trip to Barbados right now if we could…

Mum to Kai, six, Klay, two, and baby Kit, four months, explained to the paper that being in the public eye makes it hard for her to enjoy days out in the UK with her family, so they try to escape away together in order to enjoy some family bonding.

She explained that fans shouldn’t judge her taking frequent holidays as she’s a good mum to her mini football team.

Recently speaking to the Metro, Coleen told how people are often surprised how hands on she is with her three boys.

She said: “People are shocked when they realised we don’t have a nanny.

“But we are lucky to have family to help out. My mum and dad did everything for me and my brother and sister and I want the same for my kids.”
