I haven't met Katie's new baby yet, but hopefully I will soon

We talk a lot but I haven't been to see her new daughter yet and she hasn't told me the name. My kids love going round to Katie's house, there are always children running round everywhere and it's lots of fun.

You can never be too over-protective of your children

After Aaron (five months) got so ill with meningitis, I realised you can never be too careful. I knew something wasn't right and I took him in and it turned out to be meningitis - even though at the time there was no reason for me to think that. You have to trust your motherly instincts.

I'm back to working out since giving birth earlier this year

I try to work out about four or five times a week. The only way I can work out is before the kids wake up so I'm up after 5AM, go to the gym, exercise for 40 minutes and then as I'm coming back in Hugh (Hanley, husband of four years) is on his way out to do the same. That's the only way we can fit it all in. For me, getting up early is a necessity and I prefer to get things done.

The real secret to weight loss is what you eat

Working out is important, but the thing that really makes a difference to your waistline is what you put in your mouth. I eat clean most of the time at home, so that then when I go out I can thoroughly enjoy cheat meals. If I have a big photo shoot I won't have cheat meals for a few weeks before and I will completely cut out carbohydrates.

There is no magic potion when it comes to weight loss

I don't have nannies, I don't have family who live nearby. The only way I fit in my exercise regime is to get up and do it. You have to go the gym when you can, either get someone to watch the kids or put them in the creche. There aren't really any excuses - if you want to do it, you can do it. If I really can't get to the gym, I'll stick on an exercise DVD, the kids will be running around joining in, and I'll do that in the living room. Even 20 minutes will make all the difference.

One or two date nights a month keeps the romance alive

If you've got a healthy and happy relationship, you've got a healthy and happy family life, so it's important to make time for each other. We try and have a long weekend away just the two of us once a year - in a few weeks me and Hugh are off to Vegas for just that. If I go to events in the evening I tend to go alone, because I hate to waste money on babysitting!

I think Edele and Kellie will do well in Celebrity Big Brother

I know Edele very well because of the Big Reunion. She's feisty, not in a bitchy way but in a very straightforward, matter-of-fact way, which I think will make her very likeable in the house. And Kellie seems to be doing well. The way some of the housemates spoke to Gary (Busey) the other night was unacceptable. He's an elderly man who has disabilities and struggles to hear people and I would never speak to any of my family the way they spoke to him.

I'm a lot stronger since doing CBB five years ago

I was a bit nervous and apprehensive back then, I definitely feel a lot stronger now. You let your guard down in the house but never fully, you still know that you're being watched.
