Completing her sixth stint in rehab last summer, a confident and renewed Lindsay Lohan seemed determined to finally get her life and career back on track - hiring a sober coach to keep her in check and vowing: ‘My main objective is to maintain sobriety. I haven’t put myself in stupid situations like going out at night to clubs.’

But since decamping to London in January to prepare for her theatre role in David Manet's Speed the Plow in September, the former Hollywood child star turned wild child, has been a fixture on the London party scene and it's her partying antics, rather than attempt to revive her ailing career, that have generated headlines.

Last week, Lindsay shocked onlookers at a dinner for the Ischia Film Festival in Italy when she was snapped bleary-eyed and dishevelled taking a tumble on the cold tiled floor. Just last month, the star and her pals were said to have nearly shut down a Moschino party in London’s Café de Paris after smoking inside and in June, was reported to have become embroiled in a row with Kate Moss, after the supermodel accused her of privately messaging her husband Jamie Hince.

Now insiders fear that despite her desperation to regain her former star status, the troubled actress seems unable to shake her past demons.
