Miley Cyrus seemed to combine the two when she got a tattoo of her late dog Floyd inked on her ribs on Saturday.

She posted snaps of herself and her friends getting the matching tattoo on Instagram.

Previous pictures she posted suggested she was throwing a house party at her Los Angeles home.

She earlier posted a photo of herself seemingly smoking a joint, being held by a man wearing a multi-coloured unicorn head. Um, yes because that's normal.

The Wrecking Ball singers late pooch Floyd sadly died in April after he was attacked by a coyote.

The tattoo, a tribute to the dearly departed dog is an image of Floyd with a speech bubble saying ''with a little help from from friends''.

Miley and Wayne Coyne, Flaming Lips frontman were shown getting the tattoo, with other party goers Katy Weaver and zacharyancox tagged in the photo. Miley's brother Trace is also shown to be at the party.

Wayne Coyne, 53 tweeted: "Finally at Cyrus's place with rainbow unicorn passing a joint..."

The singer looked like she was having a great time, with pictures posted of her wearing clip in plaits, a controversial tie-dye T-shirt and of course her trademark tongue pose.

Since the Alaskan Klee Klai Floyd passed away, Miley has shared her struggle publically on twitter.

She wrote: "I know I don't mean it but I wish he would've taken me with him this is unbearable. What am I gonna do without him?

I keep asking why would the world take my sweet boy from me? A question an infinite amount of mothers before & after me will ask about losing their precious baby... My baby is gone & it's out of my control."

Her mum attempted to heal Miley's broken heart by getting her a new puppy, Moonie. Miley felt she wasn't ready to love again so sadly gave the pup away to a friend.

Now though Miley's heart seems to have healed enough for a new love in her life. No sadly we're not talking about a man, we're talking about her new pup Emu.

She introduced him to the world via Instagram last week, accompanied by an emotional message in tribute to Floyd.

She wrote: "There will never be anyone like Floyd. There was a bond that's so deep it's irreplaceable but that's not what I'm trying to do.

I felt my angel Floydy gave give Emu his blessing. I prayed to Floyd to just give him a touch of his awesomeness, and he has".

Miley has three other dogs - Happy the Rottweiler-Beagle mix who was found by Miley and her then boyfriend Liam Hemsworth in a box outside Wal-mart, Mary-Jane who she adopted two weeks after taking Happy in, Penny Lane who was rescued in the same year and a chihuahua mix called Bean.
