According to US news reports, when the police entered the 19-year-old’s property – which is located in Calabasas, California – they found the drugs, which were allegedly in 'plain view' at his home.

However, it's reported that police have confirmed Justin was not connected to the substance and it’s now being claimed an acquaintance of the Canadian’s has been arrested in connection with the find.

The raid, which occurred just hours ago, is reported to have included a heavy police presence.

Reports also claim the young singer was responsive and helpful to the police.

It has come just days after Justin was accused of causing over $20,000 damage to his neighbour’s property after he allegedly threw eggs at his home.

The incident comes at a bad time for Justin, whose antics made a fair amount of headlines last year.

Let’s hope this isn’t setting the benchmark for 2014.
