The Steps singer, 37, is now a size 10 and weighs 9½ stone, but she’s still getting used to her new figure.
After relentless yo-yo dieting, with her fluctuating from a size eight to a size 20, Claire finally made the decision to shed the weight to try for another baby with her husband.
But she revealed to Star magazine: “I don’t know if I feel more confident. I’d got to a point where I felt happy at a size 16.
“But it is nice to be presented with a skintight, lacy catsuit as my costume and not worry about how big I’m going to look in it!”
Claire and her husband Reece Hill, 46, parents to son Charlie, seven, and five-year-old daughter Daisy, decided to try for another baby – but she had to shape up first.
“After I did CBB we decided to try for another baby, so I’ve spent well over a year and a half since then losing weight to prepare,” she continued.
Speaking previously to Closer, Claire admitted she wasn’t aware that being overweight could cause difficulties when trying for a baby.
She said: “I had no idea being overweight was causing my fertility problems. It was a wake-up call. Losing weight became about something greater than me. It wasn’t just about being slimmer, it was about my family. That was my motivation.”
