Torvill and Dean, Ice Skating's King and Queen
Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean are the famous British ice skating pair. The duo are former British, European, World and Olympic champions. Their most notable performance was to Maurice Ravel's Boléro at the Sarajevo 1984 Winter Olympics, when they achieved the highest ever score for a single performance and won gold! The pair have since become national heroes and are God's of ice dancing. They've long since retired professionally, but now, the Nottingham duo have the important role of judging this years Dancing on Ice.
What's his relationship with Karen Barber?
Former Ice Dancer and 1983 European bronze medalist Karen Barber did have a relationship with Christopher Dean. Although it's not known if they're still together (since 2013 it's gone a bit dark on the matter) Karen did date Christopher Dean in 2011. Who knows if the couple are still an item today, we can only hope.
Who is Christopher Dean's Wife?
Chris was married to French-Canadian World ice dance champion Isabell Duchesnay between 1991 and 1993. He then married American skater Kill Ternary in 1994. The pair have two children, Jack Robert and Sam Collin, but split in 2010. Since, he's known to have dated ice dancer Karen Barber. Dean definitely has a type.

Dancing on Ice
Since January 2006, Dean (and Torvill, of course) have appeared on Dancing on Ice. The show stopped in 2014 after its ninth season, BUT IT'S BACK THIS YEAR! The pair used to help train the dancers but this year they'll be on the show as judges. There won't be any skating by the pair though as they're not insured! ITV didn't want to risk our nation's ice dancing heroes getting injured.
"Tell me more about the Boléro," I hear you ask
Look at Dean's purple shirt. That is a majestic shirt. We think they got an extra point just for that shirt. Gorgeous. The phrase 'got a few tricks up his sleeve' originated with this shirt. What a lovely shirt.
