Model Chrissy, 29, took to Instagram to announce their happy news, sharing an adorable black and white snap of 36-year-old John cradling her tiny bump.

She wrote: “John and I are so happy to announce that we are pregnant :) As many of you know, we’ve been trying to have a baby for a while now.

“It hasn’t been easy, but we kept trying because we can’t wait to bring our first child into the world and grow our family.”

Chrissy added: “We’re so excited that it’s finally happening. Thank you for all your love and well wishes. I look forward to all the belly touching! Xx [sic].”

In September Chrissy, who has been with John since 2007, revealed how she and the singer wanted children six years ago – but it’s been a struggle.

She told FABLife: “I will say honestly John and I were having trouble. We would have had kids five, six years ago if it happened but my gosh it’s been a process.”

Chrissy also revealed that she thinks it’s inappropriate when somebody asks a woman when they’re going to have children.

She said: “Anytime somebody asks if I’m going to have kids I’m just like, ‘One day you’re going to ask that to the wrong girl who is really struggling and it’s going to be really hurtful to them and I hate that. Stop asking me.’”

Congratulations to Chrissy and John!
