The 24-year-old and his bodyguard were detained in prison, following an altercation with another male in Washington DC.

According to DC Metro Police Communications Director Gwendolyn Crump, police were called following reports of a fight outside W Hotel at around 4am on Sunday morning.

The unidentified man claimed that Brown went 'nuts' when he and a male friend rushed over to get in a photo that the R'n'B star was taking with two women, with a source claiming that the singer said, 'I'm not into this gay s**t, I'm into boxing,' before punching the alleged victim, who it is said did not retaliate.

However sources close to that star say that the alleged victim's story of events is completely untrue and Chris was, in fact, attempting to stop the pair for trespassing on-board his tour bus.

The male involved in the fight was transported to hospital and released following treatment.

Meanwhile the Please Don’t judge Me singer and bodyguard Christopher Hollosy are expected to stay in police custody until this morning.

This latest incident could spell trouble for the troubled singer, who has been on probation since assaulting then-girlfriend Rihanna in 2009.

Since then, Brown has been involved in a number of further altercations, including reports of a fight with rapper Drake and singer Frank Ocean.

The Don’t Wake Me Up singer’s probation is due to end on 25 August 2014. He was yesterday released from prison, after a judge reduced the felony assault charge to misdemeanor assault charge. Brown will answer to the charge on November 25.
