Troubled pop star Chris Brown has been celebrating today after her was awarded joint custody of his 1-year-old daughter Royalty.
The 25-year-old was granted shared custody despite testing positive for marijuana and codeine.
Chris’s legal team claim that the singer had prescriptions for both drugs, including marijuana which is offered as medicinal in California.
Obviously happy with the outcome, dad-of-one Chris took to social media to share his news.
He wrote: "Court went great today. Glad this all worked out. ... Sending my thank you to my legal team.
"I’m so happy with OUR outcome today! #ILoveMyZillahAndRoyalty #ParentsFirstBulls**tLast #WeLoveRoyaltly. (sic)"
Chris has been given 12 days a month of unsupervised visits with Royalty. He will also have to pay Royalty’s mum, Nia, $2,500 dollars a month along with $15,000 overdue child support.
Fans were shocked when it emerged earlier this year that Chris had become a dad following a brief fling with model Nia Guzman.
His tumultuous relationship with on/off girlfriend Karrueche Tran ended abruptly as the news broke.
After finding himself in trouble with law in the past few years, Chris has reportedly sworn to ‘clean up his act’ in an effort to be a good father to young Royalty.
