Chloe Sims looked like the Belle of the ball last night at the TV Quick Awards in a stunning purple floor length gown. She was beaming from ear to ear as she swirled her dress around and stole some of the limelight from the rest of the TOWIE cast.

'I looked so ill and I knew I had to put on weight.'

The single mother recently came forward to talk about the eating disorder that she battled against for years. The model admitted that she has battled with her weight throughout most of her adult life. She confessed that she went down to a 'vile' 7 stone when she was fighting bulimia.

The star admitted she started feeling insecure about her body while she was on holiday in Marbella, Spain, five years ago. Although she was a healthy size 10 at the time, she managed to convince herself she was fat and enrolled in a gym.

She told Reveal magazine: 'I was a size 10 but I wanted to be a size six.

'The gym was my way of losing weight the right way, but I just worried that I was going to ruin it all when I got home.'

Soon enough, she was surviving on a diet of Go Ahead yoghurt bars, a banana and a tin of mackerel.

She then started making herself sick after meal, she recalls.

'I was soon doing it (being sick) most days. I'd starve myself to the point where I had to eat and then I got the food out straightaway, even if it was something really little.'

But soon after she began to notice her hair was thinning and her periods had stopped. It was only during a holiday to Ibiza when she was hoping to become a glamour model that she was told she was too skinny.

But it wasn't until she saw some pictures of herself that she realised it herself. She explained: 'I looked at at one picture and thought, "F**k, I look anorexic." I looked so ill and I knew I had to put on weight.'

Now weighing a healthy 9st, Chloe is hopeful she won't lose weight again, although admitting 'part of my eating disorder will always be in my head'.
