Following their argument during Wednesday night's show, a source told The Sun: "[Elliott and Chloe] are both cut up about it. They'd introduced their kids to one another and had moved in together to make it work.
"It's not one person's decision over the over, but they have decided to take some time apart."
Elliott took to Twitter to retweet a fan, after the bust up was screened. It said: "Everyone calling @ElliottWright_ controlling, so you'd let your girlfriend go for lunch with your ex yeah #towie"

Meanwhile Chloe spoke out about her relationship with her brother Charlie's girlfriend Ferne Mccann.
Appearing on This Morning, Chloe said: "We are way past nowhere now. I'm done. I've got nothing else to say about her."
However Ferne, 23, told the Mirror of her shock over Chloe's comments.
She said: "Jesus, I didn't realise it was that bad! We've had our ups and downs, at the moment it is on a down.
"But it is my boyfriend's sister and I hope one day we can rekindle our relationship. We once got on so well and it's such a shame it's like that."
