Cheryl Cole will now be known as Cheryl Fernandez-Versini after deciding to finally ditch her ex husband's surname and replace it with her new husband Jean-Bernard's double-barrelled one.

The 'X Factor' judge is finally cutting ties with her footballer ex, Ashley Cole, by taking her French husband's surname and has already updated her Twitter and Instagram names.

Cheryl - who tied the knot with Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini in a secret ceremony on 7 July - changed her Instagram name to @LadyCCole and Twitter to @CherylOfficial on Monday.

But, as of the 1st July, Cheryl still had her infamous 'Mrs C' tattoo inked onto her neck - which leads us to ask whether she will have the design removed or covered over?

Or she could go for the Katie Price option and ask a tattooist to cross out the name for her!

The tattooist told Katie at the time that she shouldn't have Peter's name covered up, as he - being the father of her two children - would always be part of her life.

She agreed and went for the crossing out option - although nowadays eagle-eyed Katie Price fans will know that she has since has the design covered up with a rose tattoo.

We wonder if Cheryl will follow in Katie's footsteps? We know the former Girls Aloud star is a fan of tattoos (have you seen the rose design on her back and bum?), so we have a feeling she will have it covered over with a new one.

Or maybe she could argue that the C stands for Cheryl - and she's her own woman?

Or there's the fact that the tattoo is on the back of her neck, so it could signify that she is walking away from the past and moving on to a brighter future?

Guess we'll all just have to wait and see…
