Liam Payne reportedly wants to propose to Cheryl now their baby has been born.
The One Direction star, who welcomed a little boy to the world with the former Girls Aloud singer on Wednesday, announced they were proud parents on Saturday night.
And the couple could be saying “I do” if reports are to be believed, with the boyband star apparently taking inspiration from Cheryl’s bandmate Kimberly Walsh’s partner Justin Scott.
A source told the Daily Star: “Liam got the idea to propose straight after the birth after finding out that Justin popped the question after the delivery of their first child.
“It’s given Liam so many ideas. There will definitely be wedding bells sooner than we expected.”
Liam and Cheryl announced the happy news they’d welcomed a son this weekend.
Cheryl wrote on Instagram: “On Wednesday 22nd March Liam and I became parents to an incredibly beautiful, healthy baby boy, weighing alb 9 and looking like a dream. Although he still doesn’t have a name he is already stealing hearts.
“We are all madly in love and overwhelmingly happy with out little arrival.
“Happy Mother’s Day to all the mothers around the world. A day that now has a different meaning to me forever.”
Liam wrote: “My close friends and family know there are very few times when I’m left speechless… wow!
“I’m incredibly happy to welcome out new baby boy into the world, it’s a moment that I will never forget for the rest of my live and my favourite memory I have so far. I am completely in awe of his incredible mother and how she has been the whole way through this, she really made my dreams come true.”
