Cheryl Tweedy has opened up for the first time about being pregnant and giving birth to her first baby - but has admitted that she hated her pregnancy.

Cheryl, who has reverted back to her maiden name of Tweedy after being known as simply "Cheryl" for a time, opened up to Dan Wootton on Lorraine whilst filming for the Judges' Houses round of The X Factor, speaking alongside Simon Cowell whose category she is helping to judge.

The new mum, who gave birth to her first child with boyfriend Liam Payne in March, began by discussing what it was like to return to The X Factor after years of being away - especially after her very public fallout with Simon.

Cheryl, 34, gushed over her little lad, revealing that the last six months had been the "best of her life," adding: "It changes your life completely, but in the most amazing way."

But she later revealed that she had not exactly enjoyed her pregnancy - confessing that she had HATED the nine months.

After Dan had asked her whether she might have more children one day, to which she said she had "no plans at the moment" but "perhaps in the future," she made the shocking admission.

She said: "I hated being pregnant. A lot of stuff went on and I just didn’t enjoy it."

Whilst it's quite a sweeping statement, a lot of mums may appreciate her honesty as many might be able to relate to that.

Cheeky Simon couldn't resist a dig at Cheryl's chosen name for Baby Bear, after Cheryl revealed that it had been inspired by a midwife who called him "the little bear" as he used to make grizzly sounds.

Simon spluttered: "Well, would you want to go to school and be named Bear?!" to which Cheryl hit back: "Would you want to be called Arthur, or Simon? One of those common names?!"

Hmm. Interesting that Cheryl chose to mock the name "Arthur" after Liam publicly said he'd loved the name and wanted that name for the baby...

Remember? He said on Kiss FM: "I actually wanted, Arthur. I think you sound like a bit of a tank... Arthur Payne - he's not a guy you'd mess around with!"

ANYWAY.

After Dan revealed that Liam had told him the name Bear was completely Cheryl's choice, Cheryl agreed and defended herself, saying: "It's true though! We carry them for the nine months, we give birth to them and I think it's only fair.

"But we did have a lengthy discussion, he didn't have a name for about seven weeks."

Simon then hinted that Cheryl could have a permanent future on the show again, and Cheryl said: "I didn't stop for 14 years - literally on the roller coaster. And then when I got pregnant I thought, 'Right, I just don't need this stress.' So I relaxed.

"It's been actually over a year but it's been perfect for me because it's reset the mind-frame. And I feel actually better coming back. I feel more relaxed, I just feel I've sat into my own skin. I feel so good."

When asked whether she might be making more music in the future, Cheryl said that whilst she was receiving music at the moment, she was just enjoying her time with her son.

She revealed: "I’ve got the luxury of being able to spend time with me new-born child and I think I’m going to take that for what it is. A lot of mothers have to rush back to work, I don’t think it’s really fair. So I’m going to take time, a few more months until he’s a bit more grown."

We think most mums would love to not work if they could afford not to, too!

Good on ya, Chez.
