The X Factor judge, 31, told Radio 1’s Greg James that she would have happily not gone public with the news of her marriage to Jean-Bernard.

Cheryl confirmed she was married by posting a snap of her huge ring to Instagram, but not until nearly two weeks after the ceremony.
She said: “I would have actually kept it that way [secret] but unfortunately it was leaked. But I’m happy it’s out there.”

The private ceremony was held on the island of Mustique at the beginning of the month, and was attended by just four people – including Chezza’s mum and PA Lily England.
After taking a break from the limelight, Cheryl is back with her return to the ITV talent show and a new single and album.
But the Geordie lass told Greg that she needed to ‘recharge’, admitted she would ‘sit in pyjamas watching TV, flicking through the channels’.

Speaking of her X Factor return, Cheryl said: “It’s actually been going really well, we’re back in the small rooms which I prefer because it’s more personal.
“Especially when you have Simon’s face looking at you, that’s scary enough!”
After her unceremonious sacking from the X Factor USA, Cheryl has finally forgiven Simon and she said they are getting on fine, adding: “Obviously we don’t agree on everything, but that’s how our relationship is.”
