Cheryl Fernandez-Versini has come under fire recently regarding her dramatic weight loss, but now she’s finally hit back at critics. The X Factor auditions continued in London yesterday, and Chezza’s tiny frame appeared smaller than ever in a scalloped Valentino leather mini (which by the way would set you back £1520 should you ever fancy spending six months’ rent on a frock...).

Speaking to The Sun, Cheryl said her weight loss is entirely down to stress: “It’s not nice but there are people out there going through similar things to me, it hurts them. You have no idea what I have been through just losing my father-in-law recently.”

Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini’s father sadly passed away a few weeks ago, and Cheryl has since been the victim of Instagram commenters, with one user saying: “Bag of bones u looked so much healthier in the early girls aloud days with ur lovely curves [sic].”

Chez was quick to reply, saying: “I am so sick and tired of it being OK to call somebody too thin or a ‘bag of bones.’ I would never dream of calling somebody too fat and that they should maybe cut down on their food intake. I’m so f sick of people thinking it’s OK to be mean or body shame anyone. And it’s woman on woman. Have some respect and maybe think there may be reasons before opening your mouth please [sic].”

Our spies tell us that Mrs F-V has been eating lots backstage at The X Factor to try and get her strength back up. Whilst we're all for trying to eat healthily, we highly recommend a few Maccy D's here and there.
