Cheryl Fernandez- Versini’s husband, Jean-Bernard, has supported her at almost every work commitment since their marriage last summer, including filming The X Factor, at her 2014 fragrance launch and for a Paris fashion show earlier this year.
But last week, it appeared the French restaurateur’s loyalty went a little too far when he publicly slated Cheryl’s record label for not promoting her latest single, Only Human.
He wrote on Instagram: “I would like an answer on how come people don’t push people that deserve it. How come somebody as exceptional as my wife has to fight for being the best, and even her own management label, and people that decide who goes on radio, don’t move their asses.”
Sources close to Cheryl, 31, reveal she’s embarrassed by the incident and is frustrated that JB, 34, got involved.
A source says: “Cheryl can’t help feeling embarrassed. She thinks it wasn’t the right way for JB to help her, and worries it made her look a bit foolish. She told him she can handle the situation, but underneath it all, she does appreciate his fierce loyalty and support.”
