The 31-year-old and fellow X Factor judge Mel, 39, appeared together for an interview with Jonathan Ross, and she confessed she's been trying to learn French from husband Jean-Bernard.
When asked what phrases JB has been teaching her, Cheryl replied: "I couldn't possible say them on ITV.
"I hear when he's on the phone and stuff, that's when I pick it up. I can understand more than I can speak to be honest, otherwise it'd be very offensive stuff that I'd be saying."
While Cheryl admitted she and JB are very much still in the honeymoon period of their marriage, and that things are going 'great', she insisted she won't be relocating to France any time soon.

She added: "No I live here, completely."
Cheryl and JB got married in secret in July this year, on the island of Mustique, and managed to keep the news to themselves for almost a month.
During their appearance on the Jonathan Ross show, Mel B teased that she and Cheryl could be making music together soon.
She said: "We did speak about that the other day." Cheryl then added: "Watch this space!"
Of her own music career, Mel spoke about the criticism she received when the Spice Girls were first starting out.
"Oh yeah, back in the day there was no mincing of words. 'You are too fat, too black, too this, too that. I mean I got everything. It makes you really tough."
