Earlier this year former X Factor judge Louis, 62, slammed 31-year-old Cheryl, labelling her ‘boring and irrelevant’.

But amazingly singer Cheryl has claimed she and the music manager have kissed and made up. Speaking to the Daily Star, she said: Louis and I actually made our peace last week because a few things unfolded. I’ve seen him since and we’re okay.

“He’s been such a huge part of the show, he was there from day one. It was a long stint.”

Louis was replaced with Radio 1 DJ Nick Grimshaw this year after working as a judge for over 10 years.

In May this year Louis claimed former Girls Aloud singer Cheryl was keeping Nicole Scherzinger from make a return to the show.

He said: “"Why won't she allow Simon to have Nicole on the panel? There's your f***ing story, that's the truth. Because Nicole's good. She won't sign if Nicole signs."

And, suggesting that there may have been some truth in Louis' allegations, Cheryl added this week: “I’ve had the opportunity to have a bit more input into the show this year.”

Cheryl first appeared as a judge on ITV talent show from 2008 until 2010, mentoring Alexandra Burke and Joe McElderry to victory during their respective years.
