It seems as if Cheryl Fernandez-Versini is feeling a little anxious about something, judging by her latest social media posts.
She wrote: “Is it just me or is there something really weird about this year?!
“It feels like a really strange year weird things keep happening?”
She later added: “Sometimes you're just damned if you do, damned if you don’t!”
Both posts were shared numerous times by her loyal fans - and she received a wealth of supportive messages from them, too.
One follower, clearly knowing something we don’t, wrote: “I don't know how people can be like that when you're literally the best person ever!”
Another added: “Don't let a few silly people get you down. The majority here appreciate what you do for everyone.”
Her Twitter posts come just a few days after the Parachute songstress shared an emotional post on Instagram.
It read: “I have fed mouths that have talked s**t about me. I’ve wiped tears off the faces of the people that have caused mine.
“I have picked up people that have tried to knock me down. I’ve done favours for people that can do nothing for me.
“I have been there for people that have not been there for me.
“CRAZY? Maybe… but I will NOT lost myself in the hated of others; I continue to be me because I am who I am and it is my nature.
“Life isn’t easy, but even through all the bulls**t… I will still be here, being me.”
“I’ve gone into protection mode!!!!!”
How very, very cryptic; that Cheryl definitely knows how to play her cards close to her chest, doesn’t she?
We can’t help but wonder if she is referring to ex-colleague Louis Walsh, who, a few weeks ago, slammed her as “lazy and irrelevant”.
Speaking with heat, the 62-year-old said: “Cheryl wasn't great last year. She's sometimes lazy and lacks energy.
“She needs to give more, she can give so much more. She's irrelevant these days.”
Cue a lengthy rant from Chezza on Twitter, in which she accused him of being obsessed with her.
She said: “I am beginning to wonder if Louis has some kind of an obsession with me..
“I mean this is every year whether I am or am not a part of the show… and btw…
“This is the same man asking me what he should say to contestants on our way to the stage bc ‘he doesn't know’
“Dear Lou Lou. Try using your mouth to say something positive about something positive.”
At least she knows that, whatever happens, she’s always got her loyal fans on side to keep her smiling.
